KakaoTalk is the most frequently used app per user, according to the latest findings by Quettra, a mobile intelligence company based in Mountain View!!
These results were presented by Mary Meeker, a partner at KPCB, during Re/code’s Code Conference in Rancho Palos Verdes on Wednesday. Her 2015 Internet Trend report pointed to the rising power and influence of messenger apps being a trend to watch out for in 2015. She referred to the ‘Mobile Insights, Quarter 1-2015’ report from Quettra to support this argument, which showed that messaging apps took up 6 of the top 10 most used apps rankings.
It also showed KakaoTalk to be used 1.5 to 7 times more in sessions than other global messengers, topping the list with 55 sessions. As you can expect, this is especially exciting news for KakaoTalk as it shows the service’s current influence as well as potential for growth into a mobile life platform.
KakaoTalk is already a platform for gaming, commerce, payment, media content and more, and we are currently working on new and exciting developments to transform KakaoTalk into a full-fledged mobile lifestyle platform that makes everyday life more convenient.
